Damon Hill

A British racing driver who won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship in 1996 driving for Williams. He won his first Grand Prix in Hungary 1993, winning the next 2 finishing the seasonin 3rd place. 1994 saw Aytron Senna join Williams, but was sadly killed at the San Marino Grand Prix. Hill went on to win 6 races that season missing out on the World Championship in controversial circumstances when Michael Schumacher drove into him.

1996 was Damon Hill’s year, winning the World Championship at the last race in Japan. 1997 saw Hill move to Arrows and very nearly gave them a victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, finishing 2nd. He did however give Jordan their 1st win at the Belgian Grand prix in 1998.
